Artist's Statement

Before a gemstone is used by a jewelry artist it goes on a long magical journey. It is discovered, classified, mined, cut, sold, resold and then becomes immortalized in the artist’s hands and ultimately the person that finally gets to wear it.

This very special life cycle is highlighted in this collection in which I have chosen and am inspired by the lesser commonly used gems. To the best of my knowledge no conflict stones were used in any of my pieces.
