My earliest memories are of me doing art or making things. From the very beginning as a silversmithing student my work has taken on the added dimension of story telling. Each one-of-a-kind piece tends to speak to potential patrons via a connection to the story. I have always been fascinated with combining unconventional things in my jewelry.

My process includes starting a work with a concept or a sketch or throwing a bunch of objects or stones on a table and seeing what speaks to me. It’s rather like I am ambushed by my own work. Regarding the materials I use, I am not a diamond or emerald  kind of gal but prefer using lesser known stones and odd cuts.

Part of running my business incorporates a background in graphic design which also informs the jewelry design. I tend to do a theme driven collection every year with the pieces reflecting that theme.

This year I am indulging in my inner fan girl making all of the work based on science fiction.
