Texturing

Sand blasting (or bead blasting) uses small beads made of glass or other non-metal materials and pressurized air to create a uniformly matte surface finish on raw metals.

A pen-plater is used for electroplating, which is the process of coating a metal object with a thin layer of another metal by means of electrolysis. The electroplated coating is usually no more than .002 inch (.05 mm) thick.

A hollow pendant shaped by the hydraulic press or dapping punches. Textures and patinas will be explored to make your pendant totally unique. 

It's a fun piece of jewelry with moving inner rings. Learn how to craft a spinner ring from start to finish and embellish with copper wire, gold, or oxidation. Stamp messages, symbols or textures to create a completely custom ring. Student will have the option of adding a colored stone.
