Fabrication, Instructor

Réjane was a bookish and annoyingly curious child who wanted to change the world. To do so, she earned a PhD in plant biology, and pursued her research in a number of countries before settling down (for now) in the USA. She didn’t have time to change the world much though, as an aneurysm ended her academic career in 2013. She turned to art to heal and find a new sense of purpose.

Blair’s introductory jewelry workshop sparked a deep love and respect for sterling silver, and provided the outlet she needed. Since then, Réjane has taken almost every class at Silverworks, as she believes technical mastery is the key to creative freedom. She’s fascinated with textures and uneven, organic shapes, and will try anything to create the most unexpected patterns - especially if that involves a big flame! Playing with fire is truly the drive behind each of her pieces, and she’d love to share her toys and sense of play with you.
